Verify your free listing

Find your company on its city page, click "Verify or correct this listing", and confirm from a company email address. You get a Verified badge, you can fix anything we got wrong, and your profile moves out of the "not confirmed" state.

Where your company can appear

Every directory has one state page, a set of city pages (each covers the city and the nearby communities listed on it), statewide service pages, and a profile for every listed company. Each page has exactly one featured spot at the top. The examples below show a fictitious company holding each one.

Editor's pick

Not a placement you can buy. Each year the editor names one listing per major city as the Editor’s pick, on published criteria (verified by the business, complete profile, registrations on record, clean public record). The pick is free and stays whether or not you buy anything. The package is the announcement: a press release issued through a paid wire under Local Guide Press, a dated badge for your site, and a permanent "Editor’s pick 2026" line on your profile after the year ends. Five business days from your approval of the text.

How to buy

Write to editor@localguidepress.com with your company name, your city, and the option you want. You get a secure Stripe payment link by reply; card payments only. The change goes live the same business day payment clears, and you get the link to your updated profile.

Photos

Every featured spot includes one project photo on your card. A Premium profile carries up to 6, and if you hold a Premium profile your featured cards show the full gallery wherever they appear. JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 8 MB each, at least 1200 px on the long side, landscape preferred. Your own project photos only: no stock images, no logos in place of photos. We resize and convert them; you keep the originals. Send photos by reply to the editor's confirmation email; they go live with your placement.

Terms for paid placements

• Paid placements appear in a band labeled Sponsored. They never change the order of the main list, which is set by verification and completeness only. No business pays to be listed, verified, or named an Editor’s pick.
• Monthly placements cancel any time and run to the end of the paid month. Annual products run for the full year.
• Annual products are refundable within 14 days of payment if the placement has not yet gone live. Monthly placements are not refunded for a partial month. Packages are not refundable once any component is live.
• We may decline or end a placement, with a pro-rated refund of any unused prepaid period, if the business loses its registration, its website goes offline, or a public record changes in a way the listing would have to disclose.
• Prices for the various placements are subject to change. The price of an active recurring monthly or annual order never increases while the subscription stays active. If we lower the price of a placement you hold, you automatically pay the lower price at your next renewal. If you cancel and later repurchase, the then-current price applies.
• Cancel, update your card, or download invoices any time through the Stripe customer portal (log in with the email you paid with). Customer portal.
• One featured spot per page, sold first come, first served. If the page you want is taken, the editor puts you on a waiting list at no charge and tells you when it opens.

What we won't sell

A position in the main list, a rating, a review, an Editor's pick, or a removal of accurate public-record facts. Corrections to inaccurate facts are free, always.
